Victory garden week 2

I’ve been anxiously watching my seed tray. Every day I peek to see what’s popped up. My first little sprouts have arrived! Early too… thanks to the warm weather we’ve had. The big sprout is a nasturtium. They’re flowers are pretty and edible. I like them because they make me feel fancy. My husband likes the destructive element in eating flowers. It’s pretty much a win win.

Green leaves!!!

Here’s when my little sprout should look like when it’s all grown up.  I posted the link to the seed supplier I got the photo from. My seeds came from burpee.com. (amazing variety and very dangerous if you order seed in the middle of winter)

My big beds are still full or dirt. I put the first few seeds in (beets, swiss chard, and snap peas) Little Uli helped shovel soil onto the grass. So, these last sprouts are all that’s left to look at for now. There will be more monday garden updates.

Mystery sprouts. Hopefully they'll grow big enough I can tell them apart soon.
